Like other legumes, black beans are are a great source of plant-based protein, and also packed with fiber.
Black beans, sometimes referred to as “turtle beans,” are commonly found in burritos and salads, but have been used in a variety of unique recipes, too, like black bean burgers, hummus, and brownies.
Our black beans at Core Goods are dry, meaning they need soaked and cooked before eating. It can take some time, but there are many benefits to eating dried beans over canned, as we talked about in our blog post about garbanzo beans.
Beans, aka “legumes,” are packed full of nutrients and will keep you full after eating. They can help with digestion and are also known to help maintain healthy bones and lower blood pressure (learn more).
