Item of the Week: Banana Chips

Item of the Week: Banana Chips | Core Goods, Oil City

Eat them alone, add them to a snack mix, or dip them in chocolate or peanut butter–banana chips are a yummy, crunchy snack.

Our banana chips at Core Goods are unsweetened. Because they’re made of bananas, they do contain natural sugars, but they don’t taste terribly sweet.

They are a nice alternative to potato chips, but they are cooked in coconut oil and have a high fat content, so eating them in moderation is recommended.

We don’t have many recipes for banana chips because they’re typically eaten by themselves. Here are some ideas other than just snacking on them:

BANANA CHIP IDEAS:

  • Add them to a snack mix with other dried fruit, nuts, and seeds (see a list of our other bulk items here)
  • Dip them in melted chocolate, peanut or almond butter, or honey
  • Break them into pieces and add them to cereal, yogurt, or ice cream
  • Crush them up and add them to cookies or granola bars
  • Add them to a peanut butter sandwich for added crunch

Banana chips are 10% off at Core Goods this week!
