Our Favorite Kitchen Items

When making recipes, organizing our kitchen, and shopping, there are often certain gadgets and equipment we prefer to use. We thought we’d share these all in one place, to make it easy for you to find!

These are simply suggestions of products we love that you could buy to use in the kitchen or when shopping, but you do not need them to make meals or store food. If you would prefer not to buy these items, feel free to contact us for other ideas for preparing and storing food.

Instant Pot

Great for preparing meals quickly with little effort. We especially love it for cooking dried beans and rice.

BLENDER – VITAMIX

High-power blender that works great for making smoothies, sauces, nut milk, soups, and more.

Other blenders to consider: Ninja, NutriNinja, KitchenAid, Oster, Blendtec

food processoR – KITCHENAID

Similar to a blender, but works especially well for making hummus, energy balls, nut butters, pesto, and more. Also comes with different attachments for kneading dough, chopping veggies and nuts, and shredding foods (like zucchini).

reusable baggies – re(zip)

Instead of using disposable Ziploc bags, invest in some reusable baggies that can be washed after each use. These can be used for sandwiches, snacks, freezing items, keeping produce fresh (like half of an avocado), or even for storing home and beauty items.

CLOTH PRODUCE BAGS – chicobag

Use these for your produce items or when shopping for bulk items like dried beans, rice, nuts, etc. They already come with a tare weight tag, so we can subtract it at check out.

GLASS FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS – glasslock

Perfect for meals on the go, without the plastic! Use them for leftovers or lunches, or bring them into Core Goods to get filled with grab & go meals. They are also microwave, oven, and dishwasher-safe.

BIOBAGS

These bags are compostable and come in a variety of sizes. They are a great alternative to plastic garbage, grocery, or Ziploc bags, and can be used for garbage, food scraps, grass clippings and leaves, snacks, pet waste, or more.
